A Whale of a Time
Celebrating the Wilson School of Design graphic design graduates’ departure on their one-way trip to industry
Departure illustrates the sometimes unexpected creative journeys that graduating students take on their one-way trips to industry. Each with their own creative baggage full of four years worth of knowledge know that the only limits to their creative journey is their imagination.
Each graduating student was tasked to develop an integrated campaign plan (competitive landscape, target audience profile, integrated marketing plan, corporate partnerships and incentives), conceptualize a theme, refine, and execute the campaign design. Halfway through the term, students and faculty chose the winning campaign direction to represent the class. Although my direction was not chosen, I continued to refine my direction as if it were to be implemented.

Design
Vintage-modern, Swiss style
The campaign design acknowledges the end of one adventure, but the beautiful start of another. GDMA students leave post-secondary to where their passions soar high in the industry.
Using a Swiss design and vintage-modern style, the campaign design evokes a whimsical yet refined look-and-feel that sets itself apart from other graduating campaigns.
